Journey Details : Fly from Toronto -Montreal - Halifax [Economical] - or Direct flight[somewhere around 140 CAD] . Train is supposed to be beautiful! bit expensive around[180 to 200 CAD].
Best time to visit : Summer[June-Sep]
Stay :Stayed in a motel -Off seaon-Cost around 60 CAD per day.
Travelling around : Must visit Peggy Cove -> 45 min from Halifax . Since off season-winter I had to take a cab cost 120 CAD . Airport is far from city..so reserve atleast 100 CAD for that.
Places to see : Maritime Museum[Titanic remains],Art Gallery ,Titanic grave,Halifax explosion related places,Harbour.Outside city -> Peggy cove .
Activites : Whale watching,Sea Kayaking
Getting Geared up:
Halifax travel came for my US visa..but i really wanted to visit this place..to see the remains of titanic was something i hoped i cld do...and the history of SS Altantic from my childhood has always chased me :)...learned about halifax explosion ..had to travel alone.
Introduction Drama:
..high drama as i reached toronto airport..as they said that flight was cancelled...confusion...and atlast finally had a flight at 12 am...air canada:)..made up by connecting a direct flight..was lucky...
FAll of my Life:
..landed at halifax airport..city was far..taxi werent running..next bus was at 2 am..reaching at 12.45...half sleep-half awake was waiting..bus came ..raining slight.. -2 c then...then rain froze...when reaching my place..took my first step..slipped..fell on my back on the stairs...v heavy fall..everyone yelled ahh!...kind of them to let the driver ask me if i was okay..thank you everyone..
Time at museum-First day :
Spent walking down the harbour..waterfront..sucha a peaceful time..v friendly ppl..went to museum..seeing the titanic remains was one of my v memorable moments..roaming..learning abt explosion..and cld the incident...

Peggy cove -Worlds most photographed place-Second day :
Took a cab..a punjabi v friendly nice guy will remember him..took to the titanic burials..lot of stories..then took off to peggy cove..drive was breathtaking...imagine left side with ocean and right hand side with fresh water lakes frozen!....
..Peggys cove..a lighthouse is the most photographed place..v peaceful...relaxing..birds were his friends:)..cld take some good pics there..went around the city..
Third day: US Visa -> Time short had to call in same cab..went in airport on time...
Interesting thing :
Forgot to tell u..i brought "Alexander Graham Bell -Biography" finished it before i reached home..has be wonderful read...
its a great achievement that he succeeded in love and science..its fascinating for me:).... such was wonderful romantic story ..behind him...his wife was his main motivation and reason for his success..as she was the one who made him to exhibit telephone on that exhibition..which changed the world's communication...i admire this part of his life as well..how many inventions..god! from communication ,biomedical to aeronautics..even today some of his inventions are used in modern planes...
Journey which i will cherish in my lifetime!
