Wayand -Vythiri

How to reach : Reach Kozhicode ,Kerala ,India -via train,bus or flight ...there is straight bus from kozhicode bus stand to vythiri cost you close to Rs 100..or take a cab costing Rs 2500 or so..we took a local bus.. Sochipara falls is pretty famous place..walk to the falls is very enjoyable..most dont get to the falls as its filled with sharp edged rocks.. But if you have some experience and really excited..get dipped!...small technique just sit down and slide through the entire distance till you reach the falls..there is a rock bench naturally formed..comfortably sit behing the falls and dip you head when you feel like :).. Another photo is a unknown falls..beautiful nevertheless ..you need to trek on a strong elevation for 2km over a hill..its filled with rabbits and elephants in the early morning and evening....not meant for everyone due to the climb and decent...

Yercaud

Yercaud : Silent and a small place ..its around 30km of driving around the hills you reach the place...beautiful dense forest cover.. How to reach : Salem,Tamil nadu..then its 3 hrs from there "We(kirba,uday and myself..kirba drove the whole distance) have a small story to tell ..it was thanga rasu marriage we went through salem..decided to see yercaud..we started slightly late and thought we will have breakfast in the hill top..it was close to 9.30am..we started..Hotel tamil nadu it was ,we aimed right..hairpin bend after hairpin bend came..our stomach was shouting loud..atlast reached yercaud at 12..searched for hotel tamil nadu to find that there was no food!...i dont think we had enough energy to search..we had a tough idea of seeing something ..went back..to find GRT..that was over our limits :)..anyway we didnt have choice other than idlii..beautiful view from the hotel!..superb location...food ,location ,ambiance was wonderful until the idli were billed at Rs 90....anyways we had just enough cash to settle..but was totally worth it..after which went to the falls..its was joyful time..water was amazing.."

Madurai part two

We went to Madurai for my friends marriage.. one of the oldest cities in tamilnadu with rich historic background..

One of the highlights being the meenashaki Amman koil..

Though you for find lots of data on reaching the place.. I would repeat it again...

Way: Chennai to Madurai would best good route... train or bus would be good.. Travels such as maduraitravels runs a professional service as I travelled by one..

Madurai

Madurai, city of cultural beauty..had a chance to visit once for my friend karthi marriage..nivi also came with me and we cld visit few temples there..

Nearly two thousand year old temple beautiful and functional even today tells us the greatness and he technical skill of our forefathers...

The might and the strength of cholas..greatest naval force during those periods ruled and built these temples..these two pictures are two.temples there...

Kalvanahalli Hills

 

Kalvanahalli hills is close to 50 kms from bangalore -not taking the left towards nandi hills -go further.
Best is winter season-when its cloudy beautiful view .


Started from our place at 3AM. After stopping here..and there..passing through the bangalore traffic..reached the place at 5.30..then slowly we started to climb up the hill..

DONT TAKE THE REGULAR PATH-THAT EVERYONE IS TAKING-TOO BORING-THATS ONLY FOR LIL BOYS :)

YOU WILL FIND THE FACE OF ROCKY HILL-JUST CLIMB UP DIRECTLY-WORTH IT!..

WARNING :TAKE WATER- as there is  nothing in the top of the hill..

Very relaxing hill top..lil old temple ruins..worth it..
